Reptiles can make really great pets but they do need a lot of time and knowledge on the species you are keeping. It is becoming a too often occurance for reptiles to be purchased and moved on a couple of months later.

Reptiles aren't disposable pets and where they may not form emotional bonds with you in the same way a cat or a dog does however they do feel stress. They are not disposable pets so please don't treat them as such!

A lot of advice you will see online varies significantly, and each reptile keeper has their own ways and methods they prefer. The same applies for all advice we give, they are the tried and tested methods we prefer.

We would never consider reptiles to be 'tame' they are not a domesticated group of animals such as cats or dogs. Handling reptiles isn't something we do for them, it is a novelty we enjoy. They do however get used to being handled and there are certain species which tolerate being handled a lot better than others, there is alre species which wont tollerate being handled at all, that's where we can help!
